Viognier, ‘1753’, Château de Campuget, IGP Gard, France

An excellent example of an overlooked grape varietal; lighter and fresher than that of its Rhone Valley examples. This wine is medium-bodied, very little acidity with classic notes of peach and apricot, with a touch of oiliness and spice on the finish but very refreshing. Serve well-chilled.
